Resumé of the Religious

Steal — the hearts and lives of children, wives, husbands, as well as their money.

Kill — the relationships and the reputations of family members.

Destroy — your hope in the goodness, love, and mercy of God.

Devour — take all you have and are for themselves.

But God says, “Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed:but ye feed not the flock” (Ezekiel 34:3). “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd:the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep” (John 10:9-11). “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world” (1 Peter 5:8-9).
