Confusion Tactic #1

Confusion is everywhere in our church, but we have learned to deaden our conscience and questions by employing passivity of mind. As we have been told before, “Don’t discuss our discipline methods with others; others would not understand, it would cause confusion”. True enough, the methods do cause confusion to those outside of Calvary.

However, God says that confusion (and every evil work) are the symptoms of envy and strife (James 3:16), and that it is the product of earthly sensual, devilish wisdom (James 3:15). However, the wisdom that is from above is pure, peaceable, gentle, and easy to be understood; it is full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness are sown in peace of them who make peace (James 3:17-18). How opposite this is from the terror and fear tactics used by our pastors and deacons? The Gospel is simple and so is living it.

(For other Scripture references refuting this tactic see 1 Corinthians 14:33 and 1 Corinthians 14:40)

"Son of man, I have appointed you as a watchman for Israel. Whenever you receive a message from me, warn people immediately. If I warn the wicked, saying, ‘You are under the penalty of death,’ but you fail to deliver the warning, they will die in their sins. And I will hold you responsible for their deaths." Ezekiel 3:17-18 NLT
