This is how not being held accountable at Calvary works – if there is sin in the leadership (or they make a wrong decision for your family), just be silent about it. You are told that you will NOT be held accountable before God. Here at Calvary Temple, that is what we are taught.
But God says something different. James 4:17 says, “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.” Matthew 12:36 says, I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
We will not have the luxury of pleading the fifth. We cannot shift the blame, like Adam of long ago, and say, “Pastor Scott made me do it”.
(For other Scripture references refuting this tactic see Proverbs 19:25, Job 13:10, Ephesians 5:11, 2 Timothy 4:2-3)
