Step #6 Relabel each situation’s actors/actions to legitimize the Pastor’s ‘doctrine’.
Relabel is key. Former friend/pastor is now a “heretic” (cloaked in secrecy so we do not poison our minds). His previous godly behavior was simply a ploy to entice us to serve “his god!” Shock/gasp/horror. Godly wife/mother, formerly highly esteemed, now a “rebellious woman” whose sins are likened mysteriously to witchcraft! Shock/gasp/horror. On fire for God young adult captain, now was building his own kingdom/usurping authority from the man of god (pastor). Shock/gasp/horror.
Fact is, we Know Nothing of what went down in those backroom meetings. We are not to discuss the situation (Just Pray People). We are to Blindly accept Pastor’s Version as the truth, whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God! The only truth is the last – So Help Me God. Wish pastor would cry out to God. For help to stop lying, destroying, manipulating, shutting up the door of heaven to dozens. Sorrow/sigh/sadface.
But God says, “Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you” (James 5:6). “And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err. I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah” (Jeremiah 23:13-14). “Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him. As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths. The Lord standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people” (Isaiah 3:11-13). “Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways” (Hebrews 3:10).
