Repost: Lying for the Lord

Alert: Busy week after the car show. Can’t take time to write. Just Re-Runs. Business as Usual here in Calvarytempleland.

Looking thoroughly into the history of Calvary Temple and the lives of its leaders, a pattern emerges. A pattern of “institutionalized deception”.

Evidence establishes that when our pastor needs protection for himself or the ministry which he built, it was and is ok to “fib, deceive, distort, inflate, minimize, exaggerate, prevaricate, or lie.”

He is what is known as “a pious deceiver” — who begets leaders who are pious deceivers. Deception is used if, in pastor’s view, it results in a good outcome. In other words, he thinks he knows when God approves of lying.

But God says, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith:these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell” (Matthew 23:15, 23-28, 33).

To our church, Jesus writes, “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten:be zealous therefore, and repent” (Revelation 3:18-19).

"Son of man, I have appointed you as a watchman for Israel. Whenever you receive a message from me, warn people immediately. If I warn the wicked, saying, ‘You are under the penalty of death,’ but you fail to deliver the warning, they will die in their sins. And I will hold you responsible for their deaths." Ezekiel 3:17-18 NLT
