Hidden Deeds

No panel discussion, no discrediting of our accusers, no amount of money can stop this onslaught of allegations. Either these things were done in our midst, or there are a whole lot of bored peopled sitting at home with nothing to do but make up stories and bring accusations against us and our leadership.

But God says, “For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open” (Luke 8:17). “If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth” (1 John 1:6). “But we [must] renounce disgraceful, underhanded ways. We [must] refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we [must] commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God” (2 Corinthians 4:2)

How Much is Enough?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGI8VSjqf7k

Pastor has been teaching us about tithing. His version states that it is unbiblical for the “priests” (him) to allow any of the tithe to be used for anything other than their own personal use (such as cars, motorcycles, artwork, jewelry, vacations, but no Starbucks of course). He says using it to maintain the church buildings, “discipleship training”, or missions angers God and shows the people (the congregation, the tithers, the givers) are not honoring God with their giving.

A little math. Suppose there are 150 tithers in this congregation. Suppose the average salary works out to $65,000 per year (some make far less and some make far more). This works out to nearly 10 million each year in income. 10% tithe alone brings in nearly 1 million each year for the “priest(s)” EACH YEAR. And Pastor says out of the goodness of his heart – his EXTREME generosity – that he is enduring the rebuke of God by giving some back into the ministry.

Other than the pastor’s own personal use, he says the tithe is also for the retirement fund of the “priesthood”. If these same numbers were consistent for the past 20 years – that’s now 20 million dollars in the pocket of the pastors, and he says it has been invested and multiplied. I don’t know about you, but I could do just fine with one or two million. Pastor, I ask you the question you have asked us: How much is enough?

Get ready – he wants more.

But God says, “This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein” (John 12:6). “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (1 Timothy 6:10). “But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money” (Acts 8:20). “And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts:for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God” (Luke 16:14-15). “Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock” (1 Peter 5:2-3).

Children of This World Are Wiser Than Children of Light (Taken from Luke 16)

Pastor for years has taught that we are not as wise as unsaved people in the areas of money and legal issues. This justifies using any means to outwit the government, the legal system, heck, even our own family members.

If they have what we (i.e. pastor) want, then anything (and everything) is justifiable.

We can lie, be secretive of our activities, hang out with bad dudes, be unethical, steal, be ruthless, suck up to the wealthy, spy on those who have left Calvary, defame, destroy, etc. The ways and means of doing evil is limitless.

But God says, “And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things:and they derided him. And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts:for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God” (Luke 16:9-10, 14-15).

In other words, we are taught to take what we want by foul or fair means, all the while exhibiting a calm and self-possessed demeanor of a hardened criminal (uh, I mean Christian). Please, no remorse, no excuses, just get the dirty deed done per Pastor.
